Conversely, in our study BNP predicted cardiac deaths (HR 1.010 [1.001–1.206], 95% CI, p-value 0.033), and hospitalization for heart failure worsening (HR 1.005 [1.000–1.016], 95% CI, p-value 0.007), such as MS disease (HR 2.902 [1.345–4.795], 95% CI, p-value 0.001). Here, NPPB is linked to heart failure.
