As previously stated a large majority of samples in each cohort datasets lacked detectable RNA as represented by a median value of zero; however, median TAAR1 RNA levels were noticeably higher in the pan-kidney cohort representing KICH + KIRC + KIRP [KIPAN, n = 1020], Kidney renal clear cell carcinoma [KIRC, n = 607], Pheochromocytoma and Paraganglioma [PCPG, n = 179], and Skin Cutaneous Melanoma [SKCM, n = 470] cohorts. The gene discussed is TAAR1; the disease is hereditary pheochromocytoma-paraganglioma.
