ETV4 and cancer: In these latter cases, ETV4 has been shown to regulate the expression of several matrix metalloproteases (MMPs), such as MMP2 or MMP9; transcription factors involved in epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT), such as Twist1 or Snail; or other cancer-related factors, such as Bax, cyclin D3, or cyclin D2.
