[11] documented that transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β), platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), hepatocyte growth factor, IL-lβ, and TNF-α have an important role in the synovial hyperplasia and capsular fibrosis in immunohistochemistry (IHC) analyses of capsular tissue of patients with FS. This evidence concerns the gene TGFB1 and Feingold syndrome.
