VEGFA and melanoma: Overexpression of both VEGF and VEGFR is reported for many human solid cancers, including cancers of the gastrointestinal tract [70, 71], pancreas [72], breast [73, 74], stomach [75], cervix [76, 77], bladder [78, 79], kidney [78], prostate [80], ovaries [81, 82], endometrium [83], lung [84], brain [85, 86], and melanoma [87] and squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck [88].
