Stroke is a condition that most frequently requires nursing care in Japan.1 Recently, the functional prognosis of patients with cerebral infarction is improved by treatment with tissue‐type plasminogen activator (t‐PA)2 and thrombus retrieval3 by intracerebral intravascular therapy for acute stage cerebral infarction.4 Therefore, the emergency department (ED) is required to provide a new system capable of rapid diagnosis and treatment decisions for acute stage cerebral infarction. This evidence concerns the gene PLAT and brain infarction.
