The neuronal cells showed robust induction of the dopaminergic neuron marker TH, and there was no significant difference between the control- and PD-group in the expression of TH, EN1, MAP2, FOXA2, KCNJ6, SYP2, TUBB3 and NURR1 (two-sided Mann-Whitney test, p > 0.05 for all comparisons, n = 8 CTRL and 7 PD derived MN neurons, Additional file 3: Figure S2). This evidence concerns the gene MAP2 and Parkinson disease.
