While several cancers exhibit deregulated KDM3A activity, in prostate adenocarcinoma it functions as a transcriptional coregulator with the androgen receptor.5,14,20,21 Such cooperative coactivation of the androgen receptor with KDM3A features a role for KDM3A as an active force in commencing oncogenesis in prostate epithelial cells. This evidence concerns the gene KDM3A and prostate adenocarcinoma.
