The aim of this study was to determine the functional properties of the VTI1A-TCF4 fusion protein and to investigate the level of transcriptional activity from the VTI1A-TCF7L2 fusion gene in colon cancer cells compared to that of wildtype TCF4. Additionally, it aims to explore the role of CDX2 in regulation of transcription of the VTI1A-TCF7L2 fusion gene. This evidence concerns the gene CDX2 and malignant colon neoplasm.
