While there is an impressive amount of research into the role of miR‐320a in various cancers and its activity through a wide range of molecular mechanisms, such as the Wnt/beta‐catenin43 and vascular endothelial growth factor pathways,44 the present study is the first to establish its activity as a negative regulator of laryngeal carcinoma stemness and chemoresistance. The gene discussed is VEGFA; the disease is cancer.
