In conclusion, our findings firstly demonstrated that SOX17 expression was down-regulated in cervical cancer tissues, SOX17 inhibited the tumor formation, proliferation and suppressed the activity of Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway by directly binding to the β-catenin promoter and trans-suppressing β-catenin in cervical cancer cells. The gene discussed is SOX17; the disease is cervical carcinoma.
