Although cisplatin could simultaneously upregulate YY1 protein expression and AKT phosphorylation (S473 and T308) in a time- and dose-dependent manner, knockdown of YY1 blocked cisplatin-induced AKT phosphorylation (S473 and T308) and correspondingly sensitized CAL27 cells to cisplatin in vitro and their xenograft tumor to cisplatin in vivo. This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and neoplasm.
