Furthermore, we demonstrated through CPNE1-silenced or CPNE1-overexpressing cells that CPNE1 is an oncogene that promotes in vitro cell growth and the migratory and invasive abilities of NSCLC cells; this finding is in line with the reported role of CPNE3 in NSCLC [9]. This evidence concerns the gene CPNE3 and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
