Finally, multivariable stepwise regression models adjusting by the potential cofounders revealed a significant association of anti-α-Gal IgM (0.29 [0.1; 0.77], p = 0.02) with lower risk of clinical malaria in infants; and of anti-α-Gal IgG (7.99 [1.54; 58.03], p = 0.02) with higher risk of clinical malaria in children (Table 6).
