As reported by Chandran et al. [121], the activation of PPARα by clofibrate was able to impair the gene expression of SREBPs and reduce the NFκB and Erk1/2 (extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1/2) protein levels in breast cancer cells derived from high metastatic inflammatory tumor specimens.
