STAT3 and neoplasm: It has been demonstrated that GR exert key therapeutic roles in experimental mouse models of cutaneous inflammation and cancer due to its anti-proliferative, anti-inflammatory, and anti-tumor functions, mostly mediated by interference with the NF-κB, ERK/AP-1, and signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) signaling pathways (reviewed in References [3,114]).
