As earlier reports exploring the immune compartments of other pediatric gliomas suggest that pediatric high-grade gliomas have limited lymphocytic infiltrate [15, 37], we performed immunohistochemical staining on our tissue samples for CD3 and found minimal CD3 staining in primary DIPG tissue compared to adult GBM, which may account for some of the CD45+/CD11b- population (Fig. 2a-c). The gene discussed is PTPRC; the disease is central nervous system cancer.
