We quantified the levels of supervillin splicing variants, the hypoxia-response factor, HIF1α, and the downstream target of HIF1α, CA9, in lysates from Huh-7 (low metastatic HCC cell line) and MHCC-97H (high metastatic HCC cell line) cells as a function of exposure time to a reduced (1%) oxygen environment (Fig. 1c). This evidence concerns the gene HIF1A and hepatocellular carcinoma.
