Immunohistochemical staining of 115 carcinomas of the squamous cell origin from the head and neck biopsies was carried out to find out the frequency of EGFR expression in head and neck SCC of our population and to determine an association of EGFR over-expression with unfavorable prognostic features including advanced tumor grade, tumor size, nodal metastasis, and recurrence status in our population. The gene discussed is EGFR; the disease is carcinoma.
