We found high levels of suppression in several members of the HSPB family (CRYAB, HSPB2, HSPB6 and HSPB7) (Fig. 3); in an integrated genomic and epigenomic analysis the ATM, HSPB2 and CRYAB (this last downregulated in Luminal A, Luminal B and Basal) genes were found commonly deleted and underexpressed in patients with breast cancer brain metastasis [71]. The gene discussed is CRYAB; the disease is metastasis.
