By 100 d of age, Smcr8−/− F2 animals developed signs of autoimmunity, with significantly more elevated plasma anti-dsDNA antibody concentration compared with their littermate Smcr8+/+ controls, a phenotype that persisted until at least 200 d of age (Fig. 5H, not significant [n.s.], P < 0.05 [*], and P < 0.001 [***] by two-way ANOVA with Dunnett's multiple comparisons).
