Our results demonstrated that tumor bearing led to the significant elevation of MDA and reduction in GSH, GST, and SOD levels, but no significant difference in GPx and CAT levels, suggesting tumor bearing induced LPO damage and lower levels of antioxidants (at least reflected in GSH, GST, and SOD), which was almost the same as reported in the literatures [45,47–50]. The gene discussed is SOD1; the disease is neoplasm.
