The basic energetic phenotypes differed somewhat from the results reported by Pelicano and coworkers [81], who found that triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) cell lines were in general characterized by a higher extracellular acidification rate (ECAR) and lower oxygen consumption rate (OCR) compared to hormone receptor positive cell lines [81]. The gene discussed is NR4A1; the disease is triple-negative breast carcinoma.
