When considering ER and PR jointly, ER-positive and/or PR-positive breast cancer showed stronger associations with BMI at ages 18 to 24 years (eg, for ER-positive and PR-positive, HR, 0.75; 95% CI, 0.70-0.81) than did hormone receptor–negative breast cancer; however, the association was still significant for ER-negative and PR-negative breast cancer (HR, 0.85; 95% CI, 0.76-0.95) (eFigure 5 in the Supplement). Here, ESR1 is linked to breast carcinoma.
