As shown in Table 5, univariate analysis identified the following factors as significantly associated with survival: post-operative AFP level (HR 1.218, 95% CI: 1.10–1.35, P < 0.001), tumor size ≥5 cm (HR 1.679, 95% CI: 1.01–2.77, P = 0.044), multiple tumors (HR 2.300 95% CI: 1.18–4.47, P = 0.014), anatomical resection (HR 2.443, 95% CI: 1.28–4.65, P = 0.007), no antiviral treatment (HR 0.482, 95% CI: 0.25–0.92, P = 0.027), and recurrence (HR 2.940, 95% CI: 1.40–6.05, P = 0.003).
