The recruitment of CD8+ T-cells to skin lesions is carried out by the IFN-γ-mediated T-cell chemokine receptor, C-X-C motif chemokine receptor 3 (CXCR3), and its ligands CXCL9, CXCL10, and CXCL11, which are abundant in skin biopsy specimens from patients with vitiligo (297). Here, CXCR3 is linked to vitiligo.
