PIM1 overexpression is associated with a poor prognosis in various hematologic cancers and solid tumors (eg, mantle cell lymphoma [MCL], triple-negative breast, colorectal, pancreatic, gastroesophageal, and head and neck cancers) [19–26], PIM2 overexpression is associated with an aggressive clinical course in patients with DLBCL [27], and PIM3 overexpression is a risk factor for prostate cancer [28]. Here, PIM2 is linked to hematopoietic and lymphoid cell neoplasm.
