Similarly, the chemokines CCL2, CCL3, CCL4, CXCL1, CXCL2, and CXCL10 were significantly increased in the colon of C. rodentium-infected WT mice compared with uninfected animals (Table S1 in Supplementary Material); these chemokines were not significantly increased in the mucosa of Smox-deficient mice during the infection and were decreased from the levels in the WT mice (Table S1 in Supplementary Material).
