In recent years, IL-33 is increasingly reported to be involved in the pathogenesis of CNS diseases and injury, such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD; Xiong et al., 2014), multiple sclerosis (MS; Jafarzadeh et al., 2016), chronic pain (Longhi-Balbinot et al., 2016), intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH; Gao et al., 2017) and TBI (Wicher et al., 2017). Here, IL33 is linked to Alzheimer disease.
