Importantly, Sufu expression was upregulated in response to antagomiR-214 treatment (Fig. 7g, h), suggesting that miR-214 suppression can modulate the expression of Sufu for the treatment of liver fibrosis and indicating miR-214 has a potential to be used as a therapeutic target in clinical studies for liver fibrosis.
