Systolic BP and the PPARD rs7770619 C>T polymorphism were significantly associated in the normotensive controls (CC 116.7 ± 0.32 mmHg, CT 113.0 ± 1.36 mmHg; p = 0.007), and there was a trend toward an association between systolic BP and the PPARD rs7770619 C>T polymorphism in the HTN patients (CC 139.4 ± 0.76 mmHg, CT 130.9 ± 3.43 mmHg; p = 0.090). This evidence concerns the gene PPARD and hypertensive disorder.
