To determine the suitability of the qABP 22 for real-time imaging of active caspase-3 in apoptosis, we performed experiments with the adherent ovarian carcinoma cells A2780 and A2780cis which are sensitive and resistant to cisplatin treatment, respectively, a widely used anticancer chemotherapy.31 First, we performed a time course study of caspase-3 activation over 3 days of cisplatin-induced apoptosis. The gene discussed is CASP3; the disease is ovarian carcinoma.
