Experiments using the ADORA2B antagonist (GS-6201) or full Adora2b knock-out mice revealed that genetic deletion or pharmacological inhibition of Adora2b subdued both the fibrotic deposition and the development of PH in a mouse model of chronic bleomycin (BLM)-induced lung fibrosis and PH (Karmouty-Quintana et al., 2012). The gene discussed is ADORA2B; the disease is pulmonary fibrosis.
