Together with RORα, RORγ was found to be expressed in melanoma cell lines and could bind with vitamin D3 derivatives, including 20(OH)D3 and 20,23(OH)2D3 (5), active forms of secosteroids and lumisterol can have anti-melanoma activity through action on RORα and RORγ (22, 24, 25, 39). This evidence concerns the gene RORC and melanoma.
