A neoadjuvant clinical trial conducted in women with HER-2-positive ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) undergoing resection within 4–6 weeks showed that the administration of autologous dendritic cells pulsed with HER-2 peptides in vitro elicited anti-HER-2 immune responses in most patients. Here, ERBB2 is linked to ductal breast carcinoma in situ.
