HNF4A and liver cancer: Interestingly, ICGC database has also identified five potential HNF4A mutations in the Zn-finger region (G79S) and the ligand binding domain (I268S, F294I, and L341P) of HNF4A, as well as one mutation (Q32X) in the N-terminal region of HNF4A (Figure 2A), suggesting that these mutations are possibly functional in liver cancer development.
