MTOR and colorectal carcinoma: In the mechanistic analysis of the inhibition of CRC cell viability, we found that chrysin, not the 5-FU/oxaliplatin combination, induced reactive oxygen species (ROS) production and, in turn, led to autophagy induction, as detected by an increase in LC3-II levels, through protein kinase B (Akt)/mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) inhibition.
