In the present study, participants had well-controlled stable RA, were taking a range of anti-inflammatory medications, and had minimal nonsignificant changes in body fat; thus, we were not surprised to observe a lack of meaningful changes in systemic concentrations of CRP, IL-1β, IL-6, CXCL-8, IL-10, or TNF-α. Here, CRP is linked to rheumatoid arthritis.
