Since various cancers have aberrant regulation of AKT pathway that leads to prolonged survival of tumor [40], and previous studies showed that the inhibition of AKT activity is useful as a therapeutic approach for the therapy of cisplatin-resistant ovarian cancer because an activation of AKT promotes cisplatin-resistance [41, 42], we hope that KP may be a novel and effective agent that has some potential targets in AKT signaling and therefore may be beneficial for developing a cancer therapeutic means. The gene discussed is AKT1; the disease is neoplasm.
