For the TCGA, expression of two out of five genes (RNF149 and ZNF502) revealed an increase in disease burden in PC patients, their expression was associated with increasing tumor stage for RNF149 (odds ratio (OR) = 1.42 [1.12–1.79], p = 0.0034) and increasing Gleason score for ZNF502 (OR = 1.42 [1.16–1.74], p = 0.0006). This evidence concerns the gene ZNF502 and pachyonychia congenita.
