To determine whether the loss of PKCβ in B cells would also affect plasma cell differentiation in the context of viral infection, we challenged WT and Prkcb−/− chimeras, intra-footpad, with 104 PFU of vaccinia virus and analyzed plasma cell differentiation in the draining popliteal lymph nodes (PLNs) 7 days after infection.
