IMiDs target the E3 ubiquitin ligase cereblon (CRBN) [71], affecting the proteasome activity, as once IMiDs bind to the cereblon complex, this triggers the ubiquitination and degradation of two transcription factors from Ikaros family zinc finger proteins 1 and 3 (IKZF1 and IKZF3) [72], which are involved in MM survival [72].
