Surprisingly, when IC87114 was administered per os there was an almost complete lack of tumour growth (Fig. 2b) suggesting that p110δ needs to be additionally inactivated possibly in a sub-population of white blood cells, which when recruited to tumour sites counterbalance the effect of the intratumoural administration of IC87114 on tumour growth.
