In this study, the silybin derivative, 15k, also induced cytotoxicity in CRC cells (including LOVO), cell cycle arrest in the S/G2 phases, ROS generation and apoptosis through the intrinsic apoptotic pathway and activated caspase 3 at significantly lower concentrations (1–2μM) than silybin. This evidence concerns the gene CASP3 and colorectal carcinoma.
