Anchorage-independent growth ability is a key characteristic of the transformed cell phenotype.19 We found that knockdown of TBXAS1 or TBXA2R greatly impaired the anchorage-independent growth capability in MCF-7, T47D, and SK-BR-3 human breast cancer cell lines, evidenced by fewer colonies forming in soft agar compared with Mock (Fig. 2a, b). Here, TBXA2R is linked to breast carcinoma.
