Interestingly, several other studies have indicated that QKI can also play tumour suppressive roles (Chen et al, 2012; Zong et al, 2014; Bandopadhayay et al, 2016), and in one case, QKI‐directed alternative splicing of NUMB has been shown to reduce growth of lung cancer cells in vivo (Zong et al, 2014). The gene discussed is QKI; the disease is lung carcinoma.
