While there is now consensus that a proportion of patients with CIDP has autoantibodies against NF, Caspr, or CNTN1, the presence of autoantibodies against the myelin proteins such P2, P0, PMP-22, and connexin has been described in some reports, but this was not confirmed by others (69). This evidence concerns the gene NFASC and chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy.
