We term NK cells derived from liver tissue or from liver perfusion fluid “intrahepatic NK cells,” and NK cells derived from tumor tissue as “tumor-infiltrating NK cells.” In both settings, NK cell and CD8 T cell proportions were similar, with mean proportions of 23.7 and 19.6% for NK and CD8 T cells in HCC, and 27.2 and 21.0% for NK and CD8 T cells in CRC metastases (Figure 1B). This evidence concerns the gene CD8A and hepatocellular carcinoma.
