SPECC1 and infection: Interacted nsp2–nsp3 and nsp3–nsp5 appeared as punctate foci in the perinuclear region of the cell, similar to the distribution of nsps observed in early infection (Li et al., 2012) and consistent with previous observations that expression of these transmembrane nsps could induce the formation of structures similar to the infection-induced DMVs (Snijder et al., 2001; van der Hoeven et al., 2016).
