In our previous studies, using a combination of bioinformatics and MS proteomics we were able to show, in ovarian cancer cells sensitive and resistant to cis-platinum, that a new class of peptidic TS inhibitors induced a proteomic modulation pattern, when targeting TS, different with respect to other classical inhibitors, since they behave as protein-protein interaction inhibitors (Genovese et al., 2014). Here, TYMS is linked to ovarian carcinoma.
